I just wanted to thank everyone that stopped by and watched me play guitar on Livestream. I had a great time, even if the procaster software sucks (on the plus side, when I switched to the "web ap" it worked flawlessly...go figure). I'm going to have to do that again, sometime.
I'm thinking I'll try to broadcast monthly, probably the the first monday of every month, although I am not promising anything, now. I'll probably do it more often than that for the first few months. If anyone missed it that was really hoping to see it, comment and I can try to do it again a time you can watch; would be no trouble, not like sitting around and playing guitar isn't something I do occasionally, anyway.
Also, Christmas is fast approaching, so Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy New Year. *gives everyone a big hug who wants one*

So, I finally made my livestream channel, and I'm going to be testing it out tonight. I think I'll just play guitar. I'll do requests, although the songs I know are pretty random...so maybe requests by composer? :p Here's the link: http://www.livestream.com/kagejim I'm not sure when I'm going to actually start and end...I'll edit this post when I know, I guess. Thinking of starting in 1 or 2 hours...depends on stuff. Also on things. :P I'll be on AIM/yahoo, so you can just ask me when I'm starting on those, too. EDIT I'm starting in a couple minutes, now.

So, I ordered my tickets for the Epica concert on February 4th on Enter The Vault. Yay!
But, there was some issues... I tried to order them and they said there was an error and the credit card didn't go through...so I tried with a different card. Everything is good, I get a confirmation email in about 10 seconds. Awesome.
Maybe an hour later, I got a call from Enter The Vault, to confirm that I ordered the tickets (since they were getting very close to running out of tickets), and I realized that they actually took BOTH orders I made. Meaning I ordered 4 tickets, according to them. I only ever got one confirmation email.
Anyway, they couldn't cancel the one order without canceling ALL the orders, which would be bad. Actually, to be honest, it sounded like he couldn't do it, and he was the sole employee of Enter The Vault. I'm guessing that's not true, but it sounded like it, the way he was talking...and he clearly knew all the bands and what they sounded like, etc. So, he asks me if I order tickets with them often, if I think I will again soon, etc. I say, yeah, I assume so. He says, send me an email when there's a concert you want to go to, and I'll send you a couple free tickets of equal or greater value. He then mentions Kamelot is coming in September, if I like them. Those are $30 tickets (these are $22). So, that actually is good for me. lol

I understand you need to make money, I really do. You can have your ads. I don't mind them, I honestly don't. They can be annoying, sometimes, since they never advertise anything I'm even vaguely interested in, but that's what not-paying-attention is for.
I can't ignore them when there's a giant, pop-up, full page flash ad, however, with a countdown timer before I can close it. Please make them go away forever.
Long time user, Jim
P.S. To those who are going to say "don't whine, do something about it," I did. Sent LJ a complaint. Doubt they'll respond at all, but we'll see.

It's 8 right now, forecast low of 2 (yes those are Fahrenheit temperatures). We also got some snow last night and some rain, which is all frozen now. Yup, winter is here.
So, you might as well snuggle up and tune into my radio show, tonight, 9 central, 10 eastern, 7 pacific. It runs for a solid three hours, and sometimes 4 or 5.
